Following the plan of activities of the Society for 2018, contacts were established between the Direction of SPEE and the Secretary General of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES), Dr. Hans Jürgen Hoyer, for the participation of SPEE as an observer member of IFEES. The first formal IFEES involvement took place in June this year, with the participation of SPEE in the VIII World Engineering Education Forum – X Global Engineering Deans Council (WEEF-GEDC 2018), which was held in Albuquerque, NM, USA, from November 12 to 16.
