Following the call bids for the organization of the 3rd International Conference of the Portuguese Society for Engineering Education (CISPEE), planned for 2020, an application was received from Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon (IST-UL). After an exploratory meeting between the SPEE Board and the proposing team, which took place via Skype, in July 2018, the proposal was approved during a meeting of members of the three SPEE management bodies (also via Skype) at the end of that month. CISPEE2020 will be organized by IST-UL, with the Local Program Committee being led by Prof.ª Raquel Aires Barros (Instituto Superior Técnico) and Prof.ª Bárbara Gabriel (University of Aveiro).
