As part of the implementation of the internationalization dimension of the plan of activities of the Society for 2018, contacts were also established between the Board of SPEE and the Executive Secretary of the Ibero-American Association of Institutions of Engineering Education (ASIBEI), Dr. Jaime Salazar Contreras, for the participation of SPEE, as an observer member of ASIBEI. The contacts took place in June of this year, and SPEE is expected to participate in the first ASIBEI meeting planned for 2019. The next ASIBEI meeting will be held in Iquique, Chile, from 24 to 26 October 2018.
